Hello again. Back to a little bit of Anderson news. First, he had a visit to Dr. Suffredini (our pediatrician) which went well. He's healthy and meeting all of his developmental goals so far with the exception of rolling over. This is now common with the focus of being on the back compared with staying on his tummy. He's getting better with "Tummy Time", however.
For those of you who follow his statistics, he's now 14 lbs 10 oz. and is 24 inches long. This puts his weight in the 50th percentile (same as at 2 months) and his length is in the 25th percentile (same as two months again.) His head circumference is in the 55th percentile ... a lot of brains for his height! As football in Texas is a big thing, we've decided that he would make a great kicker. Or trainer. Anything that's going to keep a reasonably small person away from getting hit by big, muscular people. On the bright side, he'll always be comfortable in airline seats.
Unfortunately for him, he also received his 4 month immunizations yesterday. As Natalie described it, "He's looking at us and wondering why we're letting them hurt him." Thankfully, this memory lasted all of 10 seconds and then he was his happy-go-lucky self again. But the shots (and maybe a sinus infection) gave him a fever and he had to be taken home from daycare early today.
So when he was feeling down we decided to try his first solid meal. Our pediatrician said that a lot of kids do well with avocado as their first meal. So we tried it with the following results ...

Total amount of avocado ingested = none
Not sure if he was happier with the avocado or the shots. But it was fun trying ...
